Sleek vs EasyCompanies comes down to one question: do you only need the company registered, or do you want help running it once it exists? EasyCompanies is a fast, low-cost online registration tool, while Sleek’s company registration service sits inside a team of accountants and compliance specialists who stay on after day one. This guide puts price, scope and support side by side, including the areas where EasyCompanies is the better choice.

What’s the short answer on Sleek vs EasyCompanies?

If you’re confident running the company yourself and want the lowest upfront cost, EasyCompanies is built for that. If you’d rather have one team register the company and then handle your ASIC agent duties, registered address, bookkeeping, BAS and tax return, Sleek covers that work in a single plan. Here’s how the two compare on listed prices in October 2026.

How are Sleek and EasyCompanies built differently?

EasyCompanies is a self-service registration platform. You complete an online wizard, the law firm Sprintlaw signs off its company documents, and your paperwork arrives by email once ASIC registers the company. It also sells ABN, business name and trust set-ups, plus a free Pro account for accountants and lawyers who register companies for clients.

Sleek is built around what happens next. Registration, your ASIC registered agent, a registered address, bookkeeping, BAS, tax returns and payroll all sit with the same team, run by CPA and CA-qualified accountants under registered tax agent number 26131380.

Neither model is better on its own. The right pick depends on whether you want a one-off transaction or a provider that stays with the company.

How does EasyCompanies company registration compare with Sleek’s?

EasyCompanies company registration is listed at A$682, which it says includes the ASIC fee. You fill in the form yourself in around 15 minutes, and EasyCompanies says most applications are registered within minutes. ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG registrations are a A$49 add-on, and card payments carry a 1.3% fee.

Sleek prepares the application for you once your ID checks are done. Most companies go live within a day or two of the ID check, and the fastest so far went live 43 minutes after it. Here’s what each Sleek plan includes:

  • Launch (from A$180/yr + A$636 ASIC fee): standard Pty Ltd registration, ABN registration, tax registrations (GST, PAYG and TFN), all 8 company documents drafted, a dedicated ASIC agent and phone and email support.
  • Grow (from A$1,980/yr, ASIC fee waived): everything in Launch plus annual bookkeeping, BAS filing, tax return filing and a receipt management app.
  • Scale (from A$2,280/yr, ASIC fee waived): everything in Grow plus an ASIC-compliant registered address in Sydney’s CBD and a digital mailroom.

The A$636 fee goes to ASIC whoever lodges, as set out in ASIC’s fee schedule. For a full breakdown of first-year costs, see our guide to the cost to incorporate a company in Australia.

What happens after registration with each provider?

Every Pty Ltd has ASIC obligations from the day it’s registered. You need a registered office address that isn’t a PO Box, you need to keep your company details up to date, and you pay the ASIC annual review fee of A$342 a year (from 1 July 2026).

Here’s who looks after that work with each provider:

  • EasyCompanies: its role ends once the company is registered. It doesn’t offer a registered office or virtual address service, and doesn’t list an ASIC agent or annual review service, so you supply your own address and handle ASIC changes yourself or through an accountant.
  • Sleek: every plan appoints Sleek as your ASIC agent, and the ASIC agent and annual review service is A$300 a year on its own. A virtual office address in Sydney’s CBD with a digital mailroom is another A$300 a year, or included in Scale.

If you’re running the company from home, check you’re comfortable with your residential address appearing on the public ASIC register.

Do you still need an accountant if you register with EasyCompanies?

In most cases, yes. EasyCompanies doesn’t list bookkeeping, BAS or tax return services, so once your company starts trading you’ll need an accountant or tax agent for those lodgements. Its current offer is 90% off Xero for 6 months when you register, which helps if you plan to keep your own books.

Sleek’s online accounting services for companies start at A$1,800 a year for businesses with revenue up to A$75,000. Above that, the price steps up by revenue band. Here’s what changes between the two tiers:

  • Starter (from A$1,800/yr): quarterly bookkeeping and reconciliations, quarterly BAS and IAS, your company tax return and a dedicated accountant.
  • Pro (from A$3,780/yr): monthly bookkeeping, monthly BAS and IAS, Xero and Dext included, and a direct line to your Australian accountant.

If you’d rather bundle it from the start, Grow adds annual bookkeeping, BAS and your tax return to registration with the ASIC fee waived. When you hire your first employee, Sleek’s payroll services start from A$25 per payslip and run alongside your accounts.

Where does EasyCompanies come out ahead?

EasyCompanies is the cheaper option if all you want is the company itself, and it’s worth saying so plainly. EasyCompanies pricing is hard to beat on these:

  • Do-it-yourself registration: A$682 for the company, with a constitution and share documents signed off by Sprintlaw.
  • Speed: a 15-minute form and registration usually within minutes of submitting.
  • Business names: from A$82, including the ASIC fee.
  • Trust deeds: a discretionary trust deed for A$154, sold as documents only, with no advice.
  • Tools for professionals: a free Pro account for accountants and lawyers registering companies for clients.

If you’d rather have a trust set up for you than buy the deed alone, Sleek’s discretionary trust setup starts from A$1,000 plus stamp duty.

Where does Sleek come out ahead?

Sleek is the stronger EasyCompanies alternative once the company exists and the ongoing work starts. Here’s where it wins:

  • Done for you: Sleek prepares the application, and your ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG registrations are included rather than sold as an add-on.
  • Compliance after day one: Sleek acts as your ASIC agent and supports your annual review, with a Sydney CBD address available.
  • One team for the numbers: bookkeeping, BAS, tax return and payroll sit with the same accountants.
  • Proof of track record: Sleek is ASIC registered agent 47659 and is rated 4.7 on Google.

Which should you choose?

Start with what you’ll need over the next 12 months, not just on registration day. Then match it to the provider built for that work.

EasyCompanies is likely the better fit if:

  • You only need the company registered and you’re comfortable completing the ASIC form yourself.
  • You already have an accountant who’ll handle ASIC changes, BAS and your tax return.
  • You have a suitable registered office address of your own.

Sleek is likely the better EasyCompanies alternative if:

  • You want registration done for you, with your tax registrations sorted at the same time.
  • You don’t have an accountant yet and want bookkeeping, BAS and your tax return handled.
  • You need a registered office address and someone keeping your ASIC deadlines on track.

FAQs on sleek vs easycompanies

Can you move a company registered with EasyCompanies to Sleek?

Yes. Your company keeps its ACN and ABN wherever it was registered, and Sleek can take over as your ASIC agent and accountant from there.

Do you need a business name if you register a company?

Not always. If you trade under your exact company name, such as Smith Ventures Pty Ltd, you don’t need a business name. If you trade under any other name, you must register that business name with ASIC.

Which is better if you're registering from overseas?

Every Australian Pty Ltd needs at least one director who ordinarily lives in Australia. Sleek can provide a nominee resident director (from A$7,500 a year) and helps founders register an Australian company from overseas. EasyCompanies doesn’t list a resident director service, so you’d need to arrange one separately.
