Foreign professionals who:
Application for an Employment pass is open to all nationalities. Young graduates from good institutions can qualify if they earn at least S$4,500. Older, more experienced candidates need higher salaries to qualify. For candidates in their 40’s it’s typically at least double the minimum salary to qualify
EP holders can sponsor family members to join them in Singapore if they meet the eligibility requirements.
For eligible pass holders to work in Singapore:
LOC is tagged to the applicant’s DP/LTVP/LTVP+, hence
S Pass designed for mid-level skilled workers.
S Pass employment is limited by a quota. If you have never applied for a Work Permit or S Pass, you need to declare your business activity for calculating your quota. Under the existing quota, S Pass employees are capped at:
> 10% of the company’s workfoce in the services sector.
> 20% in the manufacturing sector.
> 18% in all other sectors.
Sleek’s immigration team will assist you from start to end. The process is below:
Upon receiving the approval on the Employment Pass (EP), Dependent Pass (DP) & Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP)
Each case is assessed individually by an MOM processing officer. The outcome is at the discretion of MOM’s processing officer and although Sleek’s approval rate is near 100%, the final decision is with MOM.
It is common during Covid-19 that MOM requests further documentation which can’t be submitted in the original application. Sometimes MOM asks for this as a final step before approving an application and other times they will reject it and ask for the information during an appeal process.
Should MOM reject the application, it is common practice to make an appeal and one free appeal is included in Sleek’s service. An appeal gives the candidate the opportunity to provide additional information and documentation which can’t be submitted with the original application. In most cases, MOM approves appeals that meet MOM’s criteria of proving that the business is committed to growing. It is a plus if the business plans to hire locals within a three year period.
Below is an overview of the standard requested documents that applicants are asked to procure.
MOM may ask for additional information/documents to fully assess an application before granting a work pass. It is not mandatory to prepare the documents first, but MOM usually allows 12 days for employers to prepare the document and the due date can only be extended once for a further 7 days. So we will recommend preparing some documents early to avoid any further delays to the application process.
If the application & appeal are rejected by MOM, we will refund 50% of the service fee & any un-utilized Government fees.
These fees are a good-faith estimate of the professional fees for the above described immigration case based upon the personal and corporate information that was provided to Sleek. If details emerge at a later stage that impact the immigration process, then additional fees may be incurred. Note that shipping and handling and other outlays such as translation fees are not included. Additional charges may apply for out-of-scope service in accordance with the selected service model and Sleek’s Standard Pricing Terms and Conditions. Immigration procedures and prices are subject to change without notice. We will invoice and bill these charges based upon previously established procedures with your company. Fees will be earned as work is performed and are not contingent on results.
