Finding the best within yourself
Great People Inside (GPI) provides a SaaS People Intelligence Platform to help companies select the right talent for their organisation by providing them with personalised, customised assessments for use throughout the employee life cycle.
“It’s like the Covey bus theory. Identify the right people, to get onto the right bus (your company) and then sit in the right seat (i.e. the correct role where they will perform at their best and love it)”, says Rick Yvanovich, Chief Financial Officer of GPI.
“Job-Fit is enormously important. As an employee, if you are doing a job you love and enjoy, you will naturally put in more effort to succeed and perform at your best, but if you are in the wrong role, you are going to face difficulties or disinterest that can cause issues for yourself, your team and the company.”
The tip of the iceberg
Rick explains that when you interview a candidate, you often only see the tip of the iceberg. GPI’s assessments give you all the details about a candidate, including how they will react in times of stress, and their preferred ways of dealing with common issues like communication and conflict. “It’s like being given an instruction manual.”
The SaaS platform is used by companies throughout the employee life cycle – where they can build a ‘top performers profile’ based on the companies actual employees. This particularly benefits companies experiencing high turnover and/or low employee engagement and also is invaluable for succession planning and overall people development.
Rick explains, “We uncover the behaviours that their top performers have and the bottom performers lack. From there we build the performance model of what they should look for during their selection and placement process.”
”The company is called Great People Inside for a reason, there is greatness inside that we help to unleash using our platform.”
Delays, delays… delays
Incorporated in Singapore in 2016, the company runs virtually with developers from all around the globe. Although he originally incorporated with another provider, it was frustration with delays that eventually led Rick to look elsewhere for a new corpsec.
Rick said, “For more than 20 years, I have been using other [corpsec] agents in Singapore for other businesses I manage, and in the case of GPIPL it became frustrating – there were so many delays with what I thought was just standard corpsec stuff.”
Being a company with stakeholders all around the world also meant it was arduous to manage typical activities such as signing corporate documents.
“Having shareholders all over the world, it was a hassle to always send couriers (to our shareholders and directors) – we very often faced delays here, too.”
A platform designed for international companies
Sleek’s online platform caught his eye when searching around for a replacement. “It meant I didn’t have to worry about delays using couriers any more”, says Rick. “When I found Sleek, it was a relief – it looked like a better option, and it was cheaper as well.”
Transferring company secretary providers was a swift and painless experience. Rick also signed up to Sleek’s accounting package and praised the helpfulness of the team. “The people we work with are very responsive to our questions and emails – I am impressed.”
“If people are looking for a fully online platform to manage their company, Sleek is a good pick”, says Rick. “I can see all the positive advantages of it over the traditional ways. Anything over courier!”
He adds, “I especially like how you can upload documents online, and the electronic signature option. If a company is operated by people from different parts of the world, having an online platform is very important.”
With the stress of corporate governance and compliance off his radar, it’s easier to focus on the company’s growth goals – expanding into more countries. It’s a big undertaking, says Rick.
“When entering a new country, we need to identify partners to drive the business and also translate and localise our assessments so that they are correctly reliable and validated for that particular country. We are already up and running in more than 20 countries and we’re working on many more. We look forward to help individuals and organisations unleash their Great People Inside from more places around the world.”
