When registering a company in Hong Kong, the company name can be in English or Chinese but not a combination of both. The Chinese company name must end with the characters “有限公司,” following the ISO 10646 international coding standard
Directors of a company in Hong Kong must be at least 18 years old and have no history of bankruptcy or convictions for malpractices. They are not required to be shareholders.
A Hong Kong Private Limited Company can have up to 50 shareholders (excluding employees/former employees). The constitution limits share transfers and prohibits public invitations for share/debenture subscriptions.
